POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking an experienced Senior Electrical/Automation Engineer to lead electrical design projects, mentor team members, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and project execution skills. Opportunity to earn overtime for hours in excess of 40 per week and bonus based on performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and document control systems including PLC, HMI, instrumentation, motor control, VFDs, safety circuits, robotics.
  • Develop specifications, cost estimates, and project documentation.
  • Lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Mentor junior team members and support professional growth.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other design tools.
  • Research and implement new technologies.
  • Manage client interactions, approvals, and permitting processes.
  • Perform on-site inspections and collaborate with contractors and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering preferred but not required.
  • PE status with the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience in PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, robotics, VFDs and servo drives.
  • Proficiency in development software such as Rockwell, Siemens, Fanuc, ABB, Copa-Data.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical industry and/or power generation preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of U.S. electrical and ANSI standards; ISO 9001 experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
