GENERAL
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for new business development, account coordination, and direct marketing, focusing on sales relationship development and opportunity creation within assigned accounts. This role involves prospecting, qualifying, and building long-term relationships. The ideal candidate operates with the highest level of integrity, demonstrating strong ethics, credibility, and trustworthiness. They are optimistic, inclusive, and respectful, consistently establishing good rapport with clients and colleagues.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to the VINCI Energies Quartz Management Philosophy.
- Prospecting:
- Adding new clients/business to the company through his/her own personal sales work and successful hunting ventures.
- Investigation and identification of potential clients using lists, internet, networking, or other vehicles.
- Reach out and contact with prospective clients to meet the needed new contact requirements.
- Accountability: Meet metrics defined for prospecting i.e. Dials and Contacts made
- Qualifying:
- Effectively identifying the decision-makers; qualifying; verifying; clarifying; and finding the personal and business pain for each contact.
- Accountability: Adding new clients/ contacts to the company through his/her own personal sales work and successful hunting ventures.
- Build Relationships:
- Bonding with clients, building rapport and establishing trusting relationships.
- Creation of Business:
- Securing qualified meetings with potential clients, including ensuring client budget is qualified and there is clear access to the decision makers.
- Securing client commitments and then holding them accountable.
- Expanding Services:
- Work closely with all sales and marketing associates, developing account strategy and providing on going support for the entire team.
- Work closely with business unit manager to define and disseminate the market specific value proposition and qualification criteria targeted to the specific needs of each industry market.
- Accountability: Develop and execute successfully Account Plans and targets.
- Manage Business Funnel:
- Leverage Sandler Sales Process to position Actemium for successful implementation of sales process and a long term customer relationship.
- Accountability: Leverage all aspects and facets of the Sandler sales process.
- Administrative:
- Time entry will be completed weekly.
- Speak, read and write fluently in English.

- Accountability: Timesheets are accurate and can physically perform all tasks required for the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in Sales & Marketing
- Capable of Strategic & Tactical Planning & Execution
- Skilled in Public Speaking & Business/Technical Writing
- Creative Problem Solving: Recognize and evaluate problems, then identify potential solutions, then organize and engage.
- Negotiations: Consultative solution selling. Respectful and thoughtful but dare to say no if the deal doesn’t feel right.
- Financial: Good understanding of the group Quartz accounting principles.
- Contracts: Good understanding of the Client and Company terms & conditions.
- High Ethical Standards: Having a strong sense of what is right or wrong.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Graduate in Engineering and/or Business
- Established network of professional contacts in markets and/or geographical area
